As the proud owner of KIN TR, I welcome you to learn more about my credentials
I graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2023 and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Therapeutic Recreation with a specialization in Aging Studies.
~
Graduating with this title has provided me the opportunity to significantly impact your loved one’s quality of life & independence through meaningful leisure experiences in the comfort of their home or living facilities.
~

I have working experience throughout retirement, long-term care, and adult day program settings, where I provided Recreation Therapy to older adult(s) with an expansive range of physical and cognitive challenges.
~
Including but not limited to:
Dementias, Alzheimer’s , Vascular dementia, Lewy Bodies dementia, Frontotemporal dementia, Mixed dementia & Young-Onset dementia. As well as, developmental disabilities, Parkinson’s disease, various mental health diseases & sensory disabilities.
~
While KIN TR specializes in working with older adults with dementia, I also possess a broad range of educational experience, enabling me to effectively serve individuals with diverse needs across all age cohorts. To ensure that I am able to provide the most effective support, we will need to conduct an initial interview. This will help us determine if my skills and expertise align with your specific needs and goals.
~
After graduation, I successfully passed the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) and became the first CTRS in Windsor-Essex County in November of 2023.
The CTRS certification is a National certification which allows me to actively practice throughout Canada, the United States of America, Australia, and 13 other countries but I have decided to stay and serve my local communities.
